Asian music that you deserve to listen to.
« on: 06/ 08/ 2010, 07:12:18 AM »
I noticed that a lot of people don't know many Asian bands that are worthwhile outside of whats popular. So heres a list. Every band should have an accompanying youtube video of a song that i think generally sums up the bands sound. Bands without descriptions are just ones that I can think of words for.

If you like music, and yourself, you should listen to every one of these songs, or at least those in your favorite genres. The videos are mostly official PVs of that song, and if they aren't, it means that particular song does not have a PV, it was too hard for me to find, or that the live performance is even better than on the CD.

This post may be still a work in progress and could be edited in the future, maybe. Probably maybe not since I'm so lazy.

If you feel an artist needs to be included, send me a message and i'll try to include them.

Note: I didn't embed the videos, not because I'm lazy, but because this page would be two miles long if I did.**

That Wu-Tang badge is well-deserved, good sir. Fuck yes.

I know a few of these already, but I'm mostly digging the others in the Metal/Industrial and Techno/electro area. I am currently compiling a list of bands for acquirings.

EDIT: I see that YMCK is the greatest band on the planet.

Sweet list. And as Topher said, "You're going to fit in here just fine."

Kashiwa Daisuke - Stella
Love this one. I managed to find the flac version of this, freakin 204MB. Love every 36minutes of it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hh6eT_zhmRg

Janne Da Arc - Vanity
Personal favorite because it unintentionally became my "walking slowly and entering a room" music.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9QEGwShkZk

369 (miroku/ミロク) - Kaerimichi (帰り道)
Not my fav of his but love the video. Hard to find his stuff on the youtube, only a few songs up there.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVXzJmFYkfU

He also did the opening theme for The Daughter of Twenty Faces anime.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jay0SGfTaG0

World's End Girlfriend - Dance for Borderline Miscanthus
Get your best pair of headphones for this one because it's awesome.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0udcS2lSsY8

That's it for my short list.

It's not. What happens via PM/email/elsewhere is your own business, but direct links aren't cool. Let natural selection weed out those who don't know how to google.
