Killer post-rock band. Beautiful melodies, and they use the loud-soft alternations very well.

Anyone else into them?

EDIT- Since it is rather stagnant here, as previously stated, might as well make this a thread about post-rock, since post-rock is awesome.

Tbh, I only really liked one of their albums in its entirety, and that one's usually regarded as one of their weakest (for some reason): Happy Songs for Happy People. Nothing else of theirs really convinced me - though the last track on their debut-album, Mogwai Fear Satan, is an absolute killer. Unfortunately the rest of the album isn't all that great either.

I dig Mogwai alot but I kinda think we should just turn this into a post-rock thread instead its kinda stagnant up in here, plus we could maybe show folks some unfamiliar bands and whatnot.

I love God is an Astronaut. Saw them at oxygen this year. Tiny crowd though because they were playing at 3 in the afternoon while everyone was still getting pissed.
