Apparently SNES and NES minis are going out of production after this holiday season.
I've been holding off getting one but made the drunk leap yesterday to get one since

SNES is something I grew up with and I like the pixel style they used for a lot of their later games
They're still quite easy to get ahold of right now and I really don't want to get FOMO later down the line and pay like >triple digits on eBay to remove that feeling

Started reading more physical books recently thanks to the library. Discovered that all the libraries in Ireland were linked up recently so you can search for any book in any library and get it delivered to your local one.

I love my books, but it took me downloading digital copies of them all to start making a dent in my backlog. It feels easier to pick up my tablet and read for 20 minutes than it is to pick up a book. Almost like if I grab my book it's a commitment to read for longer. Strange I know.

I get that. I switch depending on the book I have. Right now I have what I want to read as physical books. But I love reading novellas and they are much more expensive as book books, so I go to the eReader for them. How I wish my eReader would work with manga...

End of years plans guys?
And how was 2018 for you?

I'll be working on the 24th, but only until 2pm. Aside from that I got no plans. New years is more of a hassle than fun most years. 2018 was alright. Not particularly great, because I took ages doing anything. 2019 should get me back into University with full force. Yay!

Wasn't the worst year but I seriously think I need to get a new job. Which I'm not looking forward too because I have no real skills so all I can get is probably some IT job which also probably means being on tech support for like a year minimum.

ive been doing a bit of reading lately. im in the middle of the Broken Earth trilogy by NK Jemisin, which is an extremely good Fantasy series about Geomancers and the end of the world. I'm also diving into John Le Carré's spy novels. so far i've tackled Call for the Dead and The Spy Who Came In From the Cold, both of which i recommend.

2018
It was a year
Still in the same place mentally as I always am. Which I guess is fine? Not any worse than usual I guess.

Played a lot of Splatoon. That was cool. It actually helped keep my mind off certain things. Was cool to shoot the shit with Topher and JohZho.

No real plans, but that's the way I like it. Just the usual christmas stuff.

2018 was alright. I went to China for a few weeks back in the spring, that was cool. Saved up some money this year, and was kinda proud of myself for being a grownup, but then my car started getting the hiccups and I had to spend it all on a new one. Although that's kinda what the money was gonna be for eventually anyway, so... yeah.

Played lots of great games, lost a few excess pounds, made the decision to quit smoking. Looking forward to 2019 and that new aminul crossan.

I'd sooner take the superior Golden for Switch, I can't stress how happy that would make me.

Not many plans for the end of the year. Probably going to my sister's as usual for Christmas. And I'd like to spend New Years quietly, if possible.

2018 was at least a little better than 2017 for me. Creativity levels are up, after a while of slumping and feeling like a complete failure, though juggling making music and art while struggling to keep my creativity levels afloat has been a struggle. When I'm doing music it's all I can think about, so art ends up on the back burner again.

But I'm glad to have music work, and should have music in a game shortly. Like, another one, since the prior one which was a spiritual successor to Megaman was put on hiatus due to Megaman 11 coming out. But I feel like I've grown musically after working on so much game music. Hopefully I can make a second career of it. I should probably put my commission info up...
